Mission Statement

The West Newbury Youth League aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience to every child. A high-quality experience is one in which every child:

• Participates in a safe environment
• Is given an opportunity to participate regardless of financial constraints or any other situation
• Has fun at practices and games
• Is instructed through positive coaching
• Feels like an important part of the team regardless of performance or ability
• Learns life lessons that have value beyond the playing field
• Understands the meaning and practices sportsmanship
• Is taught the fundamental skills and is given the opportunity to practice those skills, allowing for player improvement
